Out of the BOX thinking
HumouRUSS
I was thinking, which I do from time to time; and when the pain subsides I get an explosive thought: Here’s one such thought.
It costs a lot of money to start a business and once started one needs a jingle to compliment the business; that is a big expense. Instead why not just pick a jingle and build a business to suit. It will save a lot of money. Here are some thoughts we hope you know the songs. You try developing some yourself, it's a bet they will be funny. Share them with Jean and the members.
Jingle lyrics: You-oo-oo-ooooo send me. You-oo-oo-oooo send me. You-oo-oo-oooo send me. Honest you do, honest you do, honest you do, whoa-oa-oa-oa!!!!
The company name: The Integrity Stagecoach Travel Agency. Whoa horsey!!!
Jingle lyrics: A spiritual song; “There shall be showers of blessings”
The company name: The Holy Ghost Sprinkler Company.
Jingle lyrics: I feel the earth move under my feet. I feel the sky tumbling down come tumbling down…
The company name: Astronomical Excavator and Earthmoving Company
Jingle lyrics: Got to get you into my life. I need you every single day of my life
The company name: Meddlers anonymous; (slogan); Where interfering is a way of life.
Now if you are NOT a member and don’t know the songs. Come in on Friday we will provide the lyrics for your on demand repeatable performances Friday nights. In exchange for a performance by you in front of all the members, you will get member privileges and discounts for the day of performance. If you have other songs to build a business name on, call or see Jean for details. Laughter is no extra charge. Members must come in for this wonderful entertainment any Friday in September 2010. Or, just become a member and forget about perfoming. Potential savings $ Priceless.
Dinner & a Movie last Saturday of each month will continue 10am till. Dinner is served @fter 6pm. Movie starts @fter 7pm. Sit back, relax, work on your pages, we hope you enjoy the show.

A Piece from the Heart
Last month I attended yet another funeral. It seems I knew a lot of people. This particular circumstance was one of the many not so rare moments in my life when I realize; I wish I had known this person better. We walk through this world along with everyone else around us yet sometimes we do not see. We do not listen. We do not take or give the time to ourselves or to others. I have been so busy trying to do what I thought God was calling me to do that I forget about me. I forget about family. I forget there are other things which exist in this world beyond the scope of a scrapbook page. Now don’t think, “She has lost her mind” because perhaps I have truly found it. This person was a kind, thoughtful woman who loved and feared the Lord. She led a hard life, served in the Military before it was cool for a woman to do so. She traveled the world and raised three (3) daughters to be beautiful women. She wrote poetry to the Lord and loved even as she suffered. She will be missed.
It was in thinking of this and speaking with a customer at the store about our recent move that I began to ponder; our “getting there”. With all of the product being out on the shelves and the new product coming in we will get there. Getting there in this sense means “being better organized”. When do we “GET THERE”? Where is there when we find it? Is there a road in life we are supposed to be on? When we do finally get there will it be enough? Are we satisfied? Will we ever be? We always want the newest, hottest thing released. We want and NEED some items. Others we just have a hankering for and sometimes we can’t even say why we do. We like to try new things. Go to new heights. See new places. We could travel the world over and still not find satisfaction. Or we could stay in our neighborhood, visit with those near and dear to us, and truly enjoy life. See us for who we are. Listen to our concerns. Hear our plight and see us through it. We need a higher power to rule and guide over us. We can’t do it ourselves. We won’t do it ourselves. We are like the Hebrew people after leaving the bondage of slavery in Egypt; we didn’t want to be there and we don’t want to be here. So they asked for instruction “write it down and we will live it to the letter.” We need rules. We need governing. We need to make better choices. No finger pointing going on here I am talking about me. I need to make better choices. I will try.
Thanks for listening to the ramblings of this once and sometimes lost woman.
